Over the years the photographic community has come together willingly and generously to provide support for one of its own. It’s been a feature of our galleries to organise and host Benefit exhibitions and MAGNET is about to take over the mantle and wear it with pride.
MAGNET will host a benefit exhibition on behalf of an old friend and lifetime photographer, Skip Watkins, to help with the significant medical costs he is facing. Many prominent photographers are donating special photographs of famous people they have photographed over many years. These photographs will be for sale at very reasonable prices and all money will be donated.
Some of you will be well-acquainted with Skip, even though he has lived in WA for several years, from the time he was here in Melbourne in the 1980s and 1990s, shooting stills for the movies and generally making a noise about the place.
Our good friends at Giclée Media Supplies have donated beautiful Baryta paper so we can print your donated work at cost price.
