A RETROSPECTIVE EXHIBITION OF 50 YEARS IN PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY.
OPENING Tuesday 12 December, 6:30-8:30pm
Opening words by Dr. Alasdair Foster
Curator, writer and Adjunct Professor, RMIT
From photographing the moon at 14 through his home-built telescope, to a press career, to management of a major centre of photography, Michael Silver has spent 50 years of his life pursing his passion for taking photographs.
This exhibition is a distillation of the work of half a century.
At aged 15, Michael said to his first employer: “This isn’t work – it’s fun.” It hasn’t changed.
